Episode #2.3

Summary Dogs have evolved from their wild ancestor moved by a mutual benefit in interacting with humans. Same as them, they need confidence and security. They have substituted the wild wolf's herd for human families which have their own alpha member. They keep the team working instinct, only with more differentiated roles. If they are separated they will tend to come back. This team sense, more apparent in wild dogs as African lycaons, has been transformed in domestic dogs in their sensibility to their owner's needs and emotions and sense of protection and defence. We are presented with various examples and scientific experiments like robot interaction or oxitocin release. Human selection through breeding has strongly determined adaptations in size and character, and is still creating new varieties.
