It's like if for the first time a (human?) being makes the first footstep on a new orb. The new planet is The Earth, Amazonian Region. Their inhabitants appear to us in their daily life, without any possibility for us to really understand what they are doing, because they look like aliens. Journal is a film about the Others, about the idea of The Other. It's about the Man.

Finally we have a Singaporean film with a hero=heroine who does not end up dead, amok, or punished for her carnal aspirations.
