Stalag Luft III - One Man's Story is told by World War II prisoner of war U.S. Eighth Air Force Lt. Charles Woehrle, one of 10,000 prisoners in Stalag Luft III, depicted in the movie "The Great Escape." Woehrle was shot down May 29th, 1943. His parachute malfunctioned when he bailed from his crippled B-17 yet miraculously he survived. At age 93 this remarkable man and gifted storyteller takes us back with vivid detail as he relives his experiences that include: his rescue by a French fisherman, being captured by the Nazis, the 70 miles below zero "Forced March," and liberated by General Patton after two long years of uncertainty and tremendous hardship. His personal account of how he survived is filled with grit and grace. Charles Woehrle, one of the thousands of heroes from the Greatest Generation, has much to teach us about war and about life.

Serbia, autumn 1942. Numerous SS units are searching the area in search of Chetniks. Chetniks apply guerrilla tactics: They break up into smaller formations and go deeper into the mountains. However, with the help of one traitor, a detachment of 200 SS men finds out where Lieutenant Nikola Kalabic, the commander of the Mountain Royal Guard, is, along with three other Chetniks. The chase starts and the Chetniks are surrounded. Kalabic's Chetnik who accompanied the traitor runs in an attempt to bring reinforcements, and another Chetnik follows the Germans, trying to help Kalabic. Nedic's Special Police are taking part of Kalabic's family to the camp, while his 12-year-old son, as well as his wife, are fleeing. The Germans call on Kalabic to surrender, promising military treatment in captivity, but he knows that his father, Lieutenant Colonel Milan Kalabic, was recently cruelly tortured and killed. Will Kalabic's reinforcements arrive on time? Is there a way out when 200 soldiers surround the four of them? How to maintain sobriety in such a situation?

This film is based on the true character of Robert (Bob) Denard in the 1960s when he fights in the Democratic Republic of Congo. As a mercenary, he defends President Mobutu, who won his position after a putsch. Despite pressures from the French government who supports Mobutu's opponent Moïse Tshombé, Denard stays loyal to Mobutu until the very end, when he understand that Mobutu wants him dead. Denard's only solution becomes to get rid of Mobutu, but the French government ends up changing side to support Mobutu. Luckily for him, Denard manages to be rescued after a head injury during combat against Mobutu's troops.
