Summary The corrupt country is famous for those little planes that drop cargos full of cocaine from Colombia, that afterwards are taken to Europe. At the shores there are 80 islands, but only 20 are inhabited. No school, no roads, no hospital, there is no planting, they only harvest rice, and a radio means the only connection with the outside world... This absolutely isolated community is changing. Christianity is there, though they keep the traditions of animism, their saman gets regular visits even from the capital. They used to have matriarchy, whereas the women made the decisions. Nowadays the tribe wants to be part of our civilization, thus they ask for help from their colonizers. They would even participate in in the cocaine trade to get some money for the tribe.
