S1.E5 ∙ What Colors Were Dinosaurs?

The recently married couple Jasmin and Assi are forced to live separated. She lives in Berlin, he in Ramallah. They want desperately to make a life together but it proves to be an impossible task. When an Israeli marries Palestinian they are beyond security offered to other members of society at every turn they are faced with a Catch 22 situation. Israeli bureaucracy filled with suspicion and a menacing Palestinian society makes their life a nightmare.

Carsten's letters is a romance documentary during World War II. It is the story of women sending their men to war, and narrates the disaster of war through love letters between Liana, one of these women, and Carsten, a German aviator and spy who is on a mission in Iran.

In mid 2016, the grass-roots group 'Rutland Welcomes' decides to help resettle Syrian refugees to this small Vermont town. The election of Donald J. Trump later that year puts their plan to rest. Over the next two years, 'Rutland Welcomes' members find themselves at odds with a nation that is swept up by the promise to 'Make America Great Again.'

The Struggle Garden is an illegal refugee settlement in the heart of urban Uganda. This film, compiled over the course of two months living in the community, compiles the stories of individuals who were forced to leave not only their countries but the refugee camps that are mandated to protect them. Additional interviews with government, police and refugee officials show that the Struggle Garden has for years been for than just a thorn in their side.
