S1.E7 ∙ Tricks of the Trade

The earliest movies were divided between exotic faraway places and cinema's ground zero, the family film in the domestic space. This documentary turns from commerce and industry to consider the intensity, trouble and tenderness of the first and best kind of film: the home movie.

On June 25, 2011, people at 57 sites around the world got together to perform dances in order to raise awareness about local and global water issues. This film documents diverse communities coming together to show that no matter where we are or what our differences, we all need access to clean water. This global dance event is a triumph of overcoming many obstacles to combine art and the environment. The participants wish to share with the world their interpretations of water and the power of coming together with other people to create beauty that is both healing and expressive.

Feeling guilty for participating in the reef aquarium hobby, an industry known to rob the oceans' reefs of animals, I go on a quest to educate others about sustainable reef-keeping.

A panel including among others two pastors debate the position of the Danish National Church - in front of a youth audience. Also includes a rare and early performance by Holger Laumann's influential jazz/rock band "Tears". Targeted at a youth audience.
