S1.E5 ∙ The Hooded Man

A documentary about British soldiers executed for desertion or cowardice during the First World War.

A look at 36 Hollywood actors over the course of ten years.

The suffering of women who spend their lives working in fields, forests and meadows without rest or respite in the Black Sea region is the subject of the documentary. Revealing this difficult life to the outside world, the film takes its name from the subject, Ifakat, who was the victim of an unsolved murder with her two daughters in an alpine meadow house. There are 120 houses in the village, which are located 2,000 meters above sea level. The men of the village leave for big cities and other countries to earn money, which makes the situation more difficult for women in the village. Women are the only permanent inhabitants. There are neither proper roads nor electricity, and the village has no considerable economic activity.

The story of Canadian band The Bells, told from the perspective of the daughter of two of the band members, the film's director/writer Jessica Edwards.

The Shipibo-Conibo people have lived in the Peruvian Amazon for over 4,000 years, passing on their knowledge of plants and sacred songs from one generation to the next. 'Esas Voces Que Curan (Voices That Heal)' tells the story of a Shipibo shaman and her family, and of their struggle to keep their traditions alive while facing the challenges of the modern world.

Ashcan tells the story of the secret prison where the main Nazi leaders were incarcerated following the Allied victory on 8 May 1945.
