Summary JC travel's over 5000 miles west to meat his mentor Rod Manning. Rod planned a new Road Trip for further educating JC to become a fully equipped opal miner. In this trip there set out to make 40000 Australiën dollars, doing all kind's of labour aside from specific opal mining skills in order to achieve that goal. In Western Australië gold miners briefly try to mine opal in the old gold mine's with great succes. But a crumbling market and higher gold profits made the period far from exhausted. So Rod has a contact with a mine who is willing to prospect his mine for opal. That's where Rod's specialism in mining black opal comes in. Due to unforeseen difficulties about the stability of the mine, the adventures are put on hold. Rod has a backup plan to help in a cropdusting job creatively describing there driving skills on big agricultural machinery. So far so good!
