Made by his daughter, Bayou Bennett, the film tells the touching story of how her re-uniting with her father after many years of being apart helps him to heal from the loss of his best friend, his painful divorce as well the devastation of his native homeland of Mandeville, Louisiana due to Hurricane Katrina.

'From One Day To The Next' follows four elderly people through their everyday lives, observing how they cope with a gradual loss of autonomy.
