Summary
From best man, to worst enemy. Once great friends, Steve Bedford and David Sheldon are embroiled in an on-going dispute that started with a simple off-the-cuff remark and soon spiralled into a war, over the ownership of a hedge. A game of one-upmanship ensued between the ex-best friends that involved pillars being knocked down by one & rebuilt by the other, water being thrown over the hedge, and insults being shouted through the hedge.
Both families mounted CCTV in a bid to catch the other in the act but will the legal costs of their never-ending battle be worth it in the end?
Mr Cochrane got increasingly frustrated when Mrs Geddes - the former mayor - ignored reminders about an unpaid bill for building work. Despite her protestation that the bill was unwarranted, Mr Cochrane was determined to get his money. After sending some work pals round to get the money, the story unfolds when Mrs Geddes complains to police about him shining his full beams into her house each morning at dawn, and it is Mr Cochrane himself who ends up on the wrong side of the law.
Phillip Rice has been at logger-heads with Mr Bob Williamson, for over 5 years. Petty arguments lead to a fight, following a social network post. The police are called in, but is there any resolution for the pair?
We tell the stories of people who've become embroiled in a neighbourly dispute using eyewitness testimony and footage from camcorders, CCTV and phones to examine traumatic, shocking, humorous and occasionally bizarre experiences that affect their everyday life.
The series explores the hostility that ignites many neighbourhoods around Britain sometimes resulting in years of anti-social behaviour, reducing even the most gentile of inhabitants into someone's worst nightmare.
We also reveal how every day, residents across the UK have dealt with the ongoing reprisals which can escalate into long-fought battles resulting in violence, convictions, evictions and even imprisonment.
