Summary Ben goes to stay with Tommy who moved from New York State with his wife and 4 year old son to Fair Isle near The Shetland Islands. After several years his wife left and moved to The Shetlands and Tom has his son stay every 3 rd weekend. We see him at age 14. Tom runs his Guest House and has 2 rooms that he rents out. There are no restaurants or Cafes on the island so Tom also has to supply 3 Meals a day. This is his main source of income and he is a good cook. He also fishes and has his Hat Company that he used to run in New York. He makes bespoke hats.
