Summary In 1969, a Khmer woman marries a French Ex-drug dealer. Addicted to drugs from a young age, he becomes physically abusive to his new wife, playing music as he beats her to cover the sound of her cries. One day the wife finds the courage to defend herself, and in doing so, breaks her husbands prized record player.
