A man and a woman, illegal immigrants with nothing in common, find themselves to travelling together just landed in Italy from North Africa and having to pretend to be a married couple in the eyes of three Italian musicians in crisis whom have decided to help them to reach Paris.

Henry is a slacker floating through young adulthood earning a measly income from selling his body as a human punching bag. Meanwhile he wonders if there is more to his stagnating existence than the punches life throws at him.

Jai Maruthi 800 is an action comedy that is set in two distinct time periods. The film begins with an incident that occurs in the 16th century, which reaches its logical conclusion in the present day.

Two different men each find their true meanings in life. Leslie and Tony, two lower middle-class bachelors, are bosom friends. Leslie is a wandering soul who seems unable to settle down. After all, unlike her husband, she can (almost) always rely on her mother Ellen. Her two assistants, Aylin and Gaby, are also loyal to the company "Sophie kocht". And her stubborn perseverance finally pays off: when she wins the charming pop star Marc Terenzi as an advocate and admirer, who introduces her to the world of the rich and beautiful, the tide finally seems to turn: Suddenly there is a hail of lucrative jobs, well-known admirers and even newspaper articles about Sophie's cooking skills. Suddenly she is surfing a wave of success. But at the same time, her private life gets mixed up: In order to finally have more time for Sophie and the family, Hubertus has decided to take a year off - and bursts into the middle of the new situation. While Sophie enjoys becoming more and more part of the glittering celebrity world and finally getting the attention she no longer gets at home, Hubertus feels useless and superfluous.
