Summary 19-year-old Franka Blankenstein grew up as a child of systematic parents in Leipzig. By chance she met the geriatric nurse Stefan Clausnitz and thus found her way into an environmental group that, under the protection of the church, campaigns against the destruction of nature and the air pollution in the region. Franka is fascinated by the cohesion of the group that lives in an old demolished house. Actions are planned there, heated discussions are held, but also lived, loved and celebrated - under constant observation by the Stasi. When the group, to which Franka finally belongs, dares to leave the church and protest in public, their movement becomes political.
