Summary Louisa, a beautiful young woman who can neither speak nor control her body movements and Anna, an older woman artist, worked together for two years making pinhole photographs about 'Water and the Outside, when we were young.' 'Diary' reveals two feisty opinionated women becoming empowered through their work together. This moving and often funny film could be seen as a crude diary of their project, yet in reality it reveals what the words collaboration and communication truly mean. Using whatever cameras were appropriate, (pinhole, still, camcorders and Point of View), they have constructed a documentary from a selection of moments which they have made into short films linked to become one, They set out to prove that it can 'work both ways', and it does.
