Death Drop

A program of twenty-three films featuring the prominent French actor (who appeared in a total of 34 films between 1944 and 1959) shown during twelve weeks in the Quartier Latin in Paris at the Reflet Médicis and Cinéma Champollion.

Sure-Fire Flint, an energetic chap just returned from wartime military service, meets June De Lanni, the girl of his dreams, while working as a cabdriver and busboy. Her father gives Flint a job in his factory, but Dipley Poole, who hoped to marry June, becomes jealous of Flint's success and attempts to rob the company safe. June is trapped in the safe, but after a series of adventures, Flint arrives in time to rescue her.

Three very different dating couples end up in the same late Chinese restaurant where a seer gives each diner a personalized fortune. Her independent-minded mother is also there with her long-time beau, who is trying to gather his nerve to propose. The geek's older sister is also there with a DJ whom she met at a book club. All of the individuals are shown to have flaws and assets, which makes for a well-rounded story and good insights into relation's expectations of males and females today.

Lord Shiva threw away a golden ball that even the gods are scared to keep. The ball creates greed and violence amongst the gods due to its opulence. Shiva had endowed the ball with a magical power, whenever a person physically hands it over to someone else, they start behaving like each other. When it reaches Earth, accidentally a typical Bengali Babu is the first person to find it while going to his in-laws' home. He gives it to his servant to carry, and when their minds get exchanged, comedy ensues.
