Summary The series follows Nick Barnes, a college student who must try and survive during a widespread zombie outbreak. He runs into a group of survivors along the way and proves himself worthy by saving one of them. He decides to join up for protection and to learn just how to stay alive. The members of the group are Seth, Vince, Diane and Kaitlyn. Each character either helps or hinders the integrity of the group throughout the series. A major turning point in the series come when the group agrees to make it their goal to venture to a military base in the hopes that they will find refuge from this nightmare after hearing an emergency radio broadcast. Nick and the group can only hope the message is right. There are other supporting characters the group come in contact with that join them: Bobby Lee (a store clerk) and Myra Kilburn (an escaped psychotic). They both prove to be very helpful in their own ways to the group when they encounter insidious adversaries during their journey.
