Tod im Logistikzentrum: "Das Quartett" ermittelt im Fall eines ermordeten Paketboten, der für einen Online-Versandhändler arbeitete. Diab Essa liegt erstochen auf dem Förderband im Logistikzentrum des Online-Riesen. Erste Verdachtsmomente führen in den Kreis der Belegschaft des hochmodernen Onlineriesen. Nicht nur Area Managerin Sarah Graf verstrickt sich in widersprüchliche Aussagen. Scheinbar war der stets überkorrekte und zuverlässige Mitarbeiter Diab dann doch nicht bei allen so beliebt, und es gab Konflikte im Team. Eine völlig neue Dimension des Falles eröffnet sich, als Maike Riem, Pia Walther, Christoph Hofherr und Linus Roth herausfinden, dass Diab auf seiner Lieferroute Kontakt zu einer verurteilten IS-Rückkehrerin hatte: Melissa Kurtz. Der studierte Anwalt stand scheinbar kurz davor, die Vergangenheit der Frau mithilfe seiner Kontakte in der syrischen Heimat restlos aufzuklären, was zu einer deutlich höheren Haftstrafe für sie geführt hätte. Zu Maikes Unmut schaltet sich währenddessen der Staatsschutz ein, was die Ermittlungen unnötig verkompliziert. Melissa flieht - und eine dramatische Verfolgungsaktion beginnt.
