Police officer Stefan Lindman is forced to take leave after resorting to excessive force against a wife abuser. At the same time, he finds out by chance that his old mentor and colleague Herbert Molin has been murdered on his isolated farm. Stefan Lindman decides to find out what happened, leaves his family and heads alone up to Molin's house. He soon senses that the murder is revenge for something and that high-ranking people are involved. Who really was Herbert Molin? And who was his friend, Stefan Lindman's own father?
