A Mexican family living in the United States finds itself in difficult and painful situations when their children take a wrong path in life.

Since the death of his parents, the teenage Burak has lived with his uncle Cemil and grandmother in a remote Turkish village. The small family unit has been trying to make a living by selling fruits. While the religious Cemil is satisfied to live his life in poverty, Burak struggles to leave for the city and attend university.

Years ago, Nora Helmer committed a forgery to save the life of her authoritarian husband Torvald. Now she is being blackmailed and lives in fear of her husband's finding out and of the shame such a revelation would bring to his career. But when the truth comes out, Nora is shocked to learn where she really stands in her husband's esteem.
