Celebrity Hunted: Caccia all'uomo

Nowadays we are constantly connected, monitored, trackable: Is it still possible to vanish into thin air without leaving a trace? Eight celebrities will give it a shot: Francesco Totti, Costantino Della Gherardesca, Fedez and Luis Sal, Diana Del Bufalo and Cristiano Caccamo, Claudio Santamaria and Francesca Barra are on the run and will do anything to avoid getting caught. On their trail is a team of "hunters" composed of former police officers, criminologists, and ethical hackers, headed by Alfredo Mantici, former director of SISDE's Analysis Department, Italy's domestic intelligence agency. For the next 14 days, the fugitives will only have a cell phone without Internet and an ATM card with which they can withdraw a maximum of 70 euros a day, but each time they use the phone or the ATM, they will be immediately located. The escape starts from the Colosseum in Rome, and each of the fugitives will try to get away from the capital right away. Francesco Totti implements his strategy for diverting the hunters, but instead manages to draw their attention to him. Fedez and Luis Sal flee in a car that no one would ever want to get into. Costantino Della Gherardesca, on the other hand, escapes on foot, but has trouble meeting up with his accomplice. Francesca Barra and Claudio Santamaria rely on Claudio's network of professional acquaintances, while Diana Del Bufalo and Cristiano Caccamo have made an appointment with a relative on the riverbank, but Headquarters manages to pinpoint their location thanks to security cameras.

All the fugitives are still in the game, each one has taken a different direction, the headquarters is on their trail. The hunt becomes relentless. There is only one way to escape: reach the extraction point. But only 48 hours before the 14 days of escape they will find out the location. The fugitives are forced to constantly change their hiding places, being very careful not to leave a trail along the way. The tension begins to be felt and the concern to be traced and captured is for some of the fugitives a cause for discussion. The group of investigators led by Alfredo Mantici, former director of SISDE's Analysis Department, is ready to follow all possible leads. Thus far, Costantino has managed to elude Headquarters, but he doesn't know that his accomplice's phone is being tapped. Fedez misses his wife Chiara, and this puts him and his fellow fugitive Luis in danger. Diana and Cristiano can't avoid being caught on the security camera while withdrawing cash from the ATM. The same fate happens to Claudio and Francesca, and a team of hunters manages to discover their last hiding place. During the escape Totti will have the opportunity to play a very special match. But his presence will soon draw the attention of the town. Barra and Santamaria in Naples are helped by a friend while Fedez and Luis enter the Molise countryside. Costantino is joined by his nephew Barù who is accompanying him to Tuscany. Diana and Cristiano don't seem to have much luck with rides. Francesco Totti keeps moving north, this time along with a group of friendly women. But their trip, which started out as a jolly outing, risks proving fatal for the former Roma champion.

7 fugitives are left in the game. Every day it becomes increasingly difficult to hide. Headquarters has changed its strategy: anticipate their moves. The extraction point, the place where they will be definitively saved, will be communicated to the fugitives 48 hours before the end of the last day. The headquarters will not receive this information and they can only assume the position. The remaining fugitives continue their journey, and some of them even decide to go on the counterattack: Claudio and Francesca try to discover the identity of the hunters who are tracking them, while Francesco Totti tries to leave a false trail, once again attempting to lead the hunters astray. Fedez and Luis have literally sailed away, while Diana and Cristiano aren't afraid to use the train stations, despite the security cameras. Unfortunately for them, the Headquarters investigators know that trying to anticipate the fugitives' moves is more effective than chasing them. In fact, their hypotheses about possible accomplices and their analysis of the various strategies used thus far bring the hunters closer and closer to their prey. Then there are those among the fugitives who unwittingly assist their pursuers, like Luis, who accidentally leaves his phone turned on. An error that could may fatal. Luis and Fedez are accompanied by a friend on the boat and once the phone is intercepted it is easier for hunters to find out who the boat is registered to. Claudio and Francesca decide to go to Basilicata where they can count on a network of well-established friendships. In the meantime, a photo appears on social media where Claudio and Francesca are tagged. Cristiano and Diana try to mislead the hunters but a technical problem could compromise their plan.

For the seven fugitives still in play, the moment is approaching when they will discover the extraction point, the place to be reached to get to safety. But the headquarters has no intention of loosing its grip and puts all available forces into play. The fugitives begin to feel tired and suffer a little. Others, on the other hand, begin to feel invincible like Luis Sal and Fedez. The fugitives' journey continues following strategies that are now well proven. Those who are still in competition have learned that in order to avoid being caught by the hunters, it's not enough to move quickly, but it's also essential to leave false trails. So Francesco Totti gets help from a former colleague to distract the hunters, while Fedez and Luis, knowing they're being tapped, use the phone to confuse the investigators with false clues. And while Claudio and Francesca continue to rely on their network of personal contacts, Diana and Cristiano decide to split up, heading in different directions. Diana reaches Viareggio unaware that someone is there waiting for her arrival while the friend who is helping Caccamo to escape makes a mistake that could compromise his escape. Totti manages to reach Genoa and he continues to get help from his former colleagues. At Headquarters, too, they have now learned to recognize the fugitives' methods: they know from experience that even the best-laid plans always have a weak point, and that weakness is often the accomplices. They then manage to intercept the phone of those who are helping Francesca Barra and Claudio Santamaria.

Only five fugitives are still in play. In the headquarter the tension grows because the time to catch them is running out. The fugitives will be aware of the extraction point in a few days. For the Headquarter, the last challenge will be to identify it before they get to safety. The days go by and the game is drawing closer and closer to its conclusion. For the fugitives who are still on the run, the accumulated fatigue has become burdensome, also because the hunters never let their guard down. Francesca begins to get homesick, which is why the tension with Claudio has increased, so that during their return to Rome there's no lack of friction between them. A phone call could compromise their escape and surveillance cameras intercepted the couple at Termini station in Rome. For a moment they are also forced to separate and this creates even more frustration on Francesca Barra's part. Francesco Totti, who up to now has proved to be a strategist, is forced by the hunters into an unscheduled training session. Fedez and Luis decide to challenge their pursuers, perhaps committing the error of being overly confident in their abilities, also because the hunters at Headquarters are demonstrating that they've learned from their past mistakes. Fedez and Luis aboard Fedez's car reach a friend hoping for his help. They don't know the hunters are arriving and the risk of committing a mistake at this moment could compromise their arrival at the end of the game. For Francesca Barra the time comes to live perhaps the most exciting moment of this adventure. She will meet a person very important for her life. Claudio, as usual, will always be by her side.

It was a very strong experience for all the contestants in the race. Leaving everything and running away so as not to be caught is something they will remember for a lifetime. And something they hope can happen just once. But now the last 48 hours of escape are left. The manhunt is about to end. At stake EUR 100,000 to be donated to charity. There are only four fugitives left and they could all or only one of them win. Or maybe hunters could win. Just 48 hours from the end of the hunt, the remaining fugitives are given the location of the extraction point, the place they have to reach in order to be safe for good. But turning on the phone for the fugitives also means giving a signal to the hunters of their position. They will also have only one chance to listen to the message containing the indication of the extraction point. It will be absolutely essential for them to arrive before Headquarters can discover the location. Meanwhile, strategies to capture the fugitives begin to arrive from the headquarter before they reach the extraction point. All contestants in the race who have reached this point want to win and assign the prize to the association chosen for the donation. Fedez and Luis, however, must first of all resolve more urgent problems: the hunters have literally surrounded them. Claudio and Francesca, instead, try once again to throw off the hunters. Unfortunately, their plan unintentionally gives Headquarters a clue that could prove to be crucial for capturing them.
