This dialog-free film, originally presented as 33 short films, is an experimental, bizarre set of meditations and flashbacks of the grotesque.

Two siblings, older brother Yoshio who had a bad one leg, and sister Mariko who had intellectual disability lived in one port town. One day, Mariko was gone from home. A while later, She was protected by the angler. When they coming home, 10,000 yen bills find from pockets of Mariko's pants. He heard that, she said had sex with the angler but, she can not understand what is wrong. After that, Yoshio was fired the company. He was in danger of life, so tried to make a living by prostituting Mariko.

"Promise Land," directed by Kevin Dalvi, is a brilliant, intense, and engaging drama about the lives of a few individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. The film weaves together three compelling narratives that focus on immigration issues. Inspired by real-life stories, the plot revolves around South Asian immigrants living in Chicago and the people they encounter. It's about their unique struggles, triumphs, conflicts, and challenges. Set in France during the struggle for Algerian independence, Messaoud's mother is terminally ill and his father, needing to work long hours in the factory, can't look after him, so decides to put him and his older brother Abdel in foster care. Sent to the countryside, Abdel has to work on a farm, but Messaoud is taken in by a childless woman, who conceals his Arab origins from her fiercely Gaullist ex-army husband. Re-named Michel/Michou, and with his hair comically dyed blond, the young boy quickly steals the hearts of both foster-parents, and eventually is instrumental in saving their troubled marriage.

A Hispanic teenager hides out from the law in the home of a good-natured, but rebellious, Caucasian teenage girl after killing two rednecks who beat him up and left him for dead, leading to a collision of cultures between the two youths.
