Love, lust and infidelity. This story is about the little secrets that come along with it. An Australian suburban family face various dilemmas within and without their relationships, something many of us may not find so unfamiliar.

Gautami is an Indian Odissi Dancer whose passion in life is dance. Jai Leang is a rising Chinese painter whose paintings are highly influenced by Chinese culture. Jai is drawn to Gautami because of her grace and charm. She pays no attention to him; she doesn't believe in marriage after her father dumped her mother for another woman. Gautami travel worldwide for her shows; it's a deliberate move on her part, and she and Jai lose contact. Gary organises an exhibition of Jai's paintings in India where his search for Gautami begins. He locates her in a monastery. He pleads to make a portrait of her. That night turns out to be fateful.

The night before NAN and POPS move to a retirement community in the rural Midwest, their scattered family reunites. Repressed tensions are provoked revealing unmentionable family secrets. Tensions run high on this emotional night resulting in the discovery of a few skeletons in the closet and unbeknownst plans for the future that change this diasporic family forever.

Muthiah (Arvind Swamy) and his wife Visalakshi (Gouthami) are a loving couple, and they come across Saroji (Ranjitha) who with no one to go for, takes refuge in Muthiah's house. Muthiah and Saroji develop soft corner towards each other. The rest is what transpires between the trio, exploring the nuances of an extra-marital affair.

Before the annual 4th of July parade, Rachels life is thrown into turmoil when her estranged husband returns after years in prison asking to be a part of her life again, also affecting their teenage daughter and Rachel's mother Sarah.
