When Kazuki Yamada's grandfather passes away, he regretfully accepts a job working for "At any rate, we'll do it", filling a variety of requests for temporary workers. After getting a text message from an unfamiliar name, saying only "please make everyone laugh for me," he mistakes it for a work request. He arrives to discover that the situation is much different than he expected. Along with childhood friend and co-worker, Shizuka Hasegawa,he sets out to grant the "last wishes" of people who have passed on.
