With their complex fortifications, they ensured an indispensable territorial network at a time far from being pacified. How did their inhabitants organize to resist the sieges? This second part explains how the medieval castle organized its defense, until the advent of the cannon and the political upheavals of the 15th and 16th centuries relegated it to the past.
