November of 1916. Young Eugeniusz Bohdan Junod prepares himself for upcoming final exams. He enjoys spending his free time at his father's cinema - URANIA. Eugeniusz is also distracted by Ada who he loves. He doesn't do well at school and it is revealed that Ada doesn't love him, so he decides to pursue his acting career.

Eugeniusz is trying to find job at theatre. But he finds out that it isn't as easy as he thought it would be. Then, he has no money and stays in poor house. He doesn't give up and fights for his dreams. Unexpectedly, Karol Hanusz, an actor who he met helps him.
