Summary "Big Movie Classics: Legends of Flight" is a one-hour TV special hosted by Eric Reidman ("Laggies," "Ordinary Angels"). This back-door pilot presents a full length IMAX® theatre documentary called "Legends of Flight" while featuring an exclusive epilogue on flight testing of the Boeing 787 and unique behind-the-scenes insights on the rigors of filming with IMAX 15/70 cameras. In "Legends of Flight" (46 minutes) acclaimed Giant Screen film director Stephen Low takes the audience on an exhilarating ride in the legendary 20th Century aircraft that most strongly influenced the revolutionary design of the 787 jetliner and the giant Airbus A380, which are once-in-a-generation, entirely new airplanes built from the ground up using largely carbon components unlike former aircraft. For "Big Movie Classics," Reidman hosts both from inside a giant screen IMAX® theatre where he introduces us to this giant screen film, but also from inside a 787 Dreamliner where we learn about the long and arduous test flight program required by the FAA for safety certification.
