Summary Gyanendra was a respectable lawyer with a respectable popularity. He was happily married to Sumoti who was a doting wife too. However Gyanendra had special feelings for his professor's daughter Sarama. One day a fire breaks out in Gyanendra's house. Sumoti dies. Gyanendra does not make any attempt to save her.
