Between Heaven and Earth

A recent law school graduate is offered a dream job at a major firm, but doesn't take it. Instead he runs away to a southern California beach town where he finds himself unexpectedly forming relationships with the people he meets.

Thirteen-year-old Guo, who lives with a selfish cousin, an always-tired aunt and her family, wants to live with her newly remarried mom in Shanghai. When a friend drowns while playing with Guo by the riverside, Guo flees the scene in shock. Yu, who likes Guo, knows that she was there on that day, but Yu's infatuation only makes Guo uncomfortable. Summer Blur is a coming-of-age story about a girl on the threshold of puberty. Neglected by an irresponsible mother and living with an unwelcoming aunt, Guo enters the world of adults through a series of events that a thirteen-year-old cannot possibly handle. Director Han Shuai's directing captures the strongminded Guo who defies age, class, and gender discrimination in a calm and restrained manner.

King Agnimitra is at war with the neighbouring state Vidharbha. He has two wikfes, Dharini and Iravati. The beautiful Malavika a fugitive in war lives in cognitive as Dharini's maid in Agnimitra's Court. Agnimiytra happens to see Malavika in a dance competition which was arranged by his friend Goutama (Vidooshaka). Love grows between Agnimitra and Malavika. They find a rendezvous under an Asoka Tree. Informed by the King's commandoes, Dharini and Iravati catch the lovers together, Malavika is imprisoned. Vidooshaka devices a scheme to free Malavika and she is freed. Parivrajika who knows the secret about Malavika's latent power advises her to kick the dried Asoka tree. The tree immediately blossoms. This coincides with the victory of Agnimitra in the war with the Greeks. The play concludes with the King marrying Malavika.

A social drama, it tackles the contradictions prevalent in society. Kumar, a respectable wealthy man to the outside world, in fact leads a life of debauchery. His son is just the contrary to his father. In the clash of the paths, the boy makes his father confess to his crimes. The boy, has a happy re-union with his mother, whom he considered all along to be dead.

Karin's world is the suburbs. It sells low-cost cosmetics in the large area of Leverkusen. She lives in simple hotels - during the week, the company pays, on weekends she gets special conditions, because you have known them for years. She does not have a home. Karin works hard because she needs every penny to reach her goal: Paris. There she wants to live some day.
