Baoyu and Daiyu were family friends who had a relationship in childhood. As Baochai entered the Mansion, the relationship between the two was even more complicated. Growing in wealth, the Rongguo Mansion built the Grandview Garden, into which Baoyu, Daiyu, Baochai, Yingchun, Tanchun, Xichun and Li Wan moved.
