In the small town of Wabowden, Northern Manitoba, Canada, a teacher is literally turning new ground in education and is growing a healthier community in the process. The documentary follows the teacher and her students for an entire growing season and demonstrates how the program develops a sense of responsibility, pride and accomplishment within the students and addresses issues of Community Food Security, Chronic Disease Prevention and Environmental Improvement.
