Summary When newly out Noel returns for his sophomore year of high school he wants nothing more than to be seen as just a regular guy, however he quickly learns that this fantasy is unrealistic as he encounters problems with bullies, school staff, and worst of all the bigoted driver's ed instructor, all of whom find one way or another to bring him down for being trans. There is some hope for Noel, though, as he is able to find solace in a therapy group for trans and non-binary kids, established by the eccentric guidance counselor.
