A Woman of Independent Means

A live action adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's short story of the same name.

Gouranga, a young man in 1960s rural Bengal, embarks on a journey where he encounters not only the local myths about a supernatural presence, but also his own demons which were buried in his past.

After an enigmatic, self-described pathologist rents the attic room of a Victorian house, his landlady begins to suspect her lodger is Jack the Ripper.

In 1961, Saengrawee Ramsawang lived with Luang Lung Chantakorn at a temple in Ayutthaya. Then, until he turned 21, Luang Lung Chantakorn sent him to live with his friend in Phra Nakhon. It is Sittikornkan castle, Phra Ploeng Sittikornkan's house, who now lives abroad. Until 'Sin Sae Lee' warned his parents that Phra Ploeng was about to turn twenty-five years old. Series of strange events began to worry Phra Ploeng, who secretly fell for Saengrawee. Phra Ploeng swore to himself that... He would never let anyone harm Saengrawee ever again...
