A Story of Children and Film

'Gravity and me' gives us a look into a few chapters in the life of Tijmen, a rascal and spastic, and his life long neighbourhood friends. If it were not for his friends, Tijmen would be pretty much housebound. They push, pull and drag him everywhere they go with the risk of getting stuck halfway. In turn, Tijmens heartiness and open mindedness make that the boys meet the most peculiar people as they wander the streets of Amsterdam. Enjoying a long summer before turning eighteen, possibly having to go their separate ways soon to study, it is time to let go and take the plunge.

Based on a true story, Paths holds 72 years of love in a 90 second experimental video which pushes the boundaries of traditional cinema. This romantic super-short video tells the story of Edward, a 92 year old man who has lost the love of his life to cancer. On board breathtaking vehicles made by the hundred-year old British car manufacturer - Morgan Motor Company, the film takes you on a metaphorical journey through the paths of life, reliving memories of a beautiful love that will last forever.

Through an examination of one life defined a 'different" or "exceptional" The Gillian Film explores how we might transform our understanding of the meaning and worth of any individual life.
