Angela Sun's journey of discovery to one of the most remote places on Earth, Midway Atoll, to uncover the truth behind the mystery of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Along the way she encounters scientists, industry, legislators and activists who shed light on what our society's vast consumption of disposable plastic is doing to our oceans, and what it may be doing to our health.

It asks the important questions of why and how these institutions were allowed to carry on until late 1996. It asks why these women never received a public apology or redress from either State or Church. As young people living in Ireland, we believe it is essential for this to be acknowledged equally with the industrial school, convent home, orphanage and other environments of abuse.
