Summary After a lonely season of wilderness skateboarding, Clay Shank returns to San Francisco and finds his hometown sunken in a bitter swarm of commerce. Following in the steps of John Muir he crosses the bay to Oakland and travels to Yosemite on foot. He brings his skateboard and his camera and ultimately travels 700 miles without motorized assistance. He climbs the face of Yosemite's Half Dome, summits Mt. Whitney after hiking the 211 mile John Muir Trail, and closes out the adventure with a 300 mile skateboard ride to Mexico.
