Down The Road is the feature film debut from co-writer/directors Rob Reed and Aidan Synnott, devised with and starring Steve Marsh. In the vein of 'Withnail and I' and 'The Trip', this part improvised comedy explores the fragile friendship between the cocky, loud mouthed Terry (Steve Marsh) and his reluctant friend Mark (Aidan Synnott) as they travel across the English countryside in old black cab in search of fun and adventure.

Ragged Patsy O'Reilly imagines herself as the descendant of Irish nobility. When her father, an impoverished contractor, invents an ore crusher, the family suddenly becomes wealthy and moves to New York City. Patsy is enrolled in a finishing school, and her parents tour Ireland, where they purchase, at their daughter's request, a coat-of-arms from the bankrupt Lord Windbourne family. After the O'Reillys return to the U.S., they are visited by Lady Windbourne and her son, the Lord, who do not mention that the adopted coat-of-arms is their own. Lord Windbourne becomes engaged to Patsy, but is later revealed as an impostor by the true heir to the Windbourne line, Larry Burke, an English officer. Larry marries Patsy and gives her an authentic ancestral name and coat-of-arms.

An aimless village postmaster who played with his old letterbox which was replaced by officials is about to reach the age of retirement. This breaks him down and pushes him to begin a journey to bring his old box back, in which his life memories have been stored. On the way he learns some hard truths about life, love and the joy of helping other people.

The story revolves around different comical events regarding telephonic conversation. Athoi (Shrabanti), a young girl loves to dial wrong numbers and through such an incident, gets involved with a boy Abir (Riaz). The story advances through a series of humorous events.

When a German long distance truck driver, who's suffering from a midlife crisis and slightly suicidal, leaves Germany for his last trip, he has no idea that certain uninvited companions will join him on the road - an Estonian cellist who has come to Germany to try her luck and has just been fired by her conductor boyfriend, a clumsy Estonian bank robber who accidentally drops the booty in the truck, and a weird German undertaker who tries to persuade the latter to do the right thing. Willing or not, they all reach Estonia, where some enlightenment is in store for them.
