Nao is a kid who always gets in brawls but always fights for his mother. One day his mother Teruko collapses and later dies. Nao suspects there is some sort of malpractice involved by the hospital and vows to search for the truth along with his lawyer. Very much to his own chagrin, he starts falling in love with the hospital owner's daughter.
Inspired by the novel "O Ateneu" by Raul Pompéia. The clash of generations between a father who supports the monarchy system against his young idealist son who favors the proclamation of the republic system. As for scenery, an important high school where the father is the headmaster.
