Somewhere in Indiana

When a job opportunity opens up for newlywed Grant Himmel, he moves with his wife Christie out to the countryside in Courtland, Virginia. However, Christie finds life in her new house to be unsettling. The area has a history of violence and it is where the exile of the Cheroenhaka Native Americans took place; no one in the area talks about the exile however. After several strange encounters, Christie believes that the house she is living in is haunted; nobody believes her however. Then, when Christie discovers the truth behind what is really going on, she finds that she is already trapped in her house.

Lonely delivery man Joseph falls in love with an alcoholic prostitute named Karen, who frequents one of the stops along his route. Though they soon become friends, Joseph is unable to figure out what makes the very-guarded Karen tick. While Karen drowns the sorrows of her mysterious past, keeping him at bay, Joseph remains committed to winning her affection, resorting to extreme measures in his search for the key to her heart. Embarking on a dark journey with a mystical relic -a 'hand of glory,' whose legend purports the ability to unlock any door- Joseph soon discovers that such feats come at a dire price.

Having moved away from London to Glasgow to be with his girlfriend Helena, Samuel is feeling cut off from everything that he knows, jobless, struggling with depression and starting to believe that they may not be alone in their new flat. They invite a parapsychology team from a local university to try and find the root cause, but are the supposed occurrences all just a part of Samuel's damaged psyche?
