S1.E7 ∙ Jobs for the Boys

Diogo Álvares, a Portuguese map illustrator, reaches the Brazilian coast, after his caravel sinks. He is saved by the Indian chief Itaparica and his two daughters, Paraguaçu and Moema. They call him Caramuru and together they engage in a happy love triangle. But the chance to return to Portugal arises, and it is clear this amoral arrangement cannot last.

Revolting heavy metal band and The Scumdogs of the Universe, Gwar are about to be wiped off the face of the earth by Edna Granbo, an old hag who can not stand Gwar and wants them eliminated. She has assembled the Morality Squad to accomplish her task. There first mission is to steal Gwar lead singer Oderus Urungus's Cuddlefish of Cthulu. When that is completed, they attempt to create Tiny, a super mutant beast whose only point in life is the elimination of Gwar. With their backs against the wall, Gwar and their manager, Sleazy P Martini, begin an all out war against Edna Granbo and her Morality Squad. The bank officer Bedrich Hroch is sent by the bank director to the zoo, which asked an allocation of one and half kg of gold for a gold tooth for a hippo. During the check up of the hippo's teeth Bedrich is swallowed by the hippo. The man does not die in the hippo's guts and he chats quite happily with his frightened wife Dása. Journalist Pip Karen, his friend is also present to the dialogue and he has immediately an idea how to use this special situation. He tells to the new minister Borovec and his opponent professor Fibinger that there is a hippo in the zoo which can speak. He also tells them how to use this situation for a political propaganda.

Depicts in a semi-realistic manner what could happen if the latest America fad became Reditus Ad Roma, a Return to Rome. Launched as a gimmick by a late night TV show, the International Culture Hour, the fad catches on fast and soon everybody from the long-haired pop singers to senators, from motor cycle outlaws to the military chiefs of the Pentagon, are dressing up in togas and taking part in orgies organized at the fashionable discos and in private houses. A mysterious figure from the Other World, a Roman general who survived the fall of Rome, who has been sent to Earth to convince our sin soaked masses not to let it happen again, provides the moral. But Gregarious the Ancient Roman, never manages to open his mouth on TV and ends by throwing himself into the familiar arms of a shapely maiden whose Reditus Ad Roma outfit has been designed by topless inventor Rudi Gernreigh.
