Summary Often dubbed a "city of neighborhoods" with over 300 distinct localities, individuality is prized in Baltimore. Where better for Broke-Ass Stuart to add himself to the mix? Unpretentious and blue collar, the creative tradition of Baltimore is self-taught and innately personal. It's the individual spirit that thrives despite the harsh realities revealed to the world in The Wire. And if your thing is all-out odd, someone is there to celebrate it with you. What's more broke-ass than turning your living room into a dance party? Stuart will knock on the door at Floristree, an art-live space open to the public. For Ecstatic Sunshine, the band that lives there, any and possibly every day is a performance. Accompanied by Mink Stole, Stuart will visit some of John Waters' favorite odd spots of Baltimore. He'll snap his photo in the booth at the Visionary Arts Museum, a place that turns the traditional art museum concept on its head. He can shop for vintage clothes at Killer Trash Boutique, where Waters found the inspiration for many of his characters. And Stuart could shake the hands of African American luminaries at the National Great Blacks in Wax Museum, an all-black wax museum. Maybe he'll even be inspired to get some new ink at the Baltimore Tattoo Museum, which is also a fully-functioning tattoo studio. Stuart and some of the YBB's he's collected throughout the day will wind up at a warehouse party thrown by Wham City, where Dan Deacon and his DIY collective of fellow musicians, artists and DJ's regularly pack the dance floors with the euphoric sounds of Baltimore's Future Shock movement.
