Based on the life of Brazilian poet Anderson Bigode Herzer, the movie tells the story of Bauer, a trans man who navigates a difficult life in an orphanage before finding love with young librarian Clara.
In the 80's, the teenage orphan and intern of an institution for protection of minors Bauer (birth name Vera) becomes the protégé of his teacher Paulo that gets a job for him in a library. Bauer is a poetess and lives an inner conflict with his gender, feeling a man trapped in a female body. He falls in love with Clara, who works in the video department of the library and has a son, and they have a relationship. While he writes her biography, he recalls his life in the institution. However, he is not able to deal with his gender crisis.—Claudio Carvalho
