Struan is a recovering drug addict and teacher. When he falls off the wagon, his partner and father try their best to help him.

A recovering drug addict has his mettle tested when his professor boss insists he starts dealing again. This causes problems in Struan's home life. His partner, Hugh, a fireman, struggles to keep their life together. And when Struan's father, Gerry, moves in with them all hell breaks lose as he does not like Hugh. At the same time Hugh is having an affair with another firemen at their station.
