A courageous journalist find herself caught in the middle of a criminal investigation against her, after taking on a political scandal in Colombia .

Alicia Salinas is a Colombian journalist in her late thirties who is obsessed with finding the truth about the murder of her father, a renowned politician and presidential candidate assassinated while campaigning when she was a young child. Because of this she is willing to give up everything to achieve her purpose, including her career, family, and safety. During her investigative work, Alicia finds herself trapped in the middle of an illegal investigation against her after she releases audio tapes that incriminate some influential politicians who now want her in jail at all costs. She and her colleagues also begin to receive death threats from an illegal paramilitary group that had kidnapped and killed journalists before. After a critical path of suffering, Alicia discovers how to emerge victorious from the investigation. She turns it into the best opportunity to show the world the truth about her father's murder and overcomes her demons and traumas because of it.
