Langston Hughes High School is full of talent and drama. The students at this unique creative arts school all explore their talents individually and in groups of like-minded friends. With talent, as amazing as these students have, there is bound to be lots of drama to accompany it. Whether it's a secret romance, backstabbing or out right betrayal, the Tributes navigate the trials and tribulations of high schools as well as what comes along with being a truly gifted young adult. As different and individual as each student is they also have lots of things in common, that bond them together as artistic Tributes and strive to live up to the school's namesake.—Jillian Holt

ACT I SHAWN JACKSON, alone in his room is awaken by his cell phone RINGING. He checks it and is shocked to discover a picture of his genitals posted on social media. SHAMAR MOORE "FIG" and MICKEY ANDERSON are sitting in Fig's living room discussing the events from the party. A somber Shawn soon joins them followed by NICK Schulz. The boys instruct Shawn to get to the bottom of whoever posted the pictures. At Langston Hughes High School in the library, RICHIE SPENCER attempts to cheer her best friend Shawn up. Shawn's girlfriend KAYLA THOMPSON, and her best friend SHAMEERAH walk up and quickly put a stop to the conversation. Shawn leaves also in an attempt not to think about the situation or argue with Kayla and her Shameerah. Shawn is alone in his room consumed by thoughts about the horror of his day. His phone RINGS. On the other line is girl he refuses to identify herself and assures Shawn she is rightful love. ACT II The boys along with Richie make up the dance group, "Pryze." They all sit around Fig's living room discussing Shawn's mysterious phone call. FLASHBACK. Everyone is having a good time at Shawn's birthday party. An argument between Mickey and girls breaks out. Fig spots an unfamiliar face and is curious to find out who this new girl is. Back in Fig's living room Pryze are trying to piece together the events of that evening. Nick suggest Kayla may be behind the incident to test Shawn. Shawn starts to question if Nick may be on to something...—Jillian Holt
