Documentary about French (Turkish born) film historian Henri Langlois (1914-1977), co-founder of the Cinemathèque Française, which progressed from just 10 films in 1936 to 60,000 films in the early 70s. French Cinemathèque was created by one man, Henri Langlois. This documentary is a toured guide of its previous locations shot around Paris. The directors also inter-cut various testimonies on Langlois of Jeanne Moreau, Kenneth Anger, Viva, Catherine Deneuve and specially Simone Signoret. She explains how, in 1941, Langlois organized screening of Russian films during the Nazi occupation, despite the threat of risking his life if discovered.
