Junko is nearly 30, nearing the traditional 'best before' of the Japanese society, and feels increasing pressure: without a partner candidate or even a particular wish to have children anytime soon, she decides to become an egg donor. And not just for the free Hawaii trip that would be the prize if her candidacy is successful. At a counseling session, she meets her niece Aki who has similar plans. Together, they soon see how competitive social and evolutionary rules can mess up the best human relationships, particularly when such rules are mixed with the fossilized attitudes of a society which is frantically hanging on to traditions.

Iheanacho, a West African filmmaker, pursues his Hollywood dream despite hardships. Facing betrayals and setbacks, his unwavering spirit and luck turn his ambitious screenplay into a cinematic success.

Henry, a struggling Greenwhich Villiage artist, accidentally finds an invitation to Louise Gordon's coming out party. He goes to the party, falls in love with the pretty socialite, but soon decides to leave as he realizes his financial situation is not up to standards. An old friend recognizes him and encourages Henry into lying that he is a successful businessman. Engagement plans soon proceed, but Henry's guilty conscience catches up and he sends Louise a letter confessing his deceit. Later, they meet and Henry confesses his love for Louise, who greatly impressed by his honesty, breaks her engagement to another, to marry Henry.

With just one punch, a foreign merchant named Ronny (Mahbub Alam) knocks out In-Ho (Yu Jun-Sang) during one of his Taekwondo training classes. In-Ho then goes to find Ronny to recover his dignity. However, what comes next is separation from his wife and being imprisoned.
