Simon Reeve travels along Australia's breathtaking northern coasts, where Aboriginals are indispensable scouts in the territory's military defense, while the major invasions are (il)legal asylum seekers, refugees and destitute people, as well as imported species, some of which became dominant, like rabbits, something endangering local species, like the poisonous giant toad in Queensland, where it failed to control sugar cane pests. Simon ends at the Great Barrier Reef, the world's largest coral constellation and vital home to a surprisingly large part of marine life.
